The Ceramic Course is priced at €1120. To secure your spot, a €200 advance payment is required upon registration. workshop aims to introduce you to the original hand-building techniques of pinching and coiling. Rachel will also show you her special way of designing surfaces, building layers and depth, combined with mark making techniques to add vitality and life to your work.

This will allow the natural qualities of the clay to come shining through and create personality to your work.

The course begins with the basic building techniques of coiling and pinching. Then, through playful experimentation, the physical properties of the clay are explored and its possibilities and limitations are learned. Different types of surface treatment with slips and glazes are tried out to build up layers and give the work depth. Surface samples are created on self-made tiles, which are perfect for obtaining fired results in the course, which can then be implemented on larger objects.

The participants will be individually instructed according to their level of experience andsupported in implementing the test results on larger objects.

The course will be given in English.
