We’re excited to announce that course bookings are officially open!
Starts in the evening May 16 until the morning of May 24 , 2026.
The Ceramic Course is priced at €1120. To secure your spot, a €200 advance payment is required upon registration. You have the option to settle the remaining balance up to two weeks before the course commencement, or you can also choose to make a cash payment upon your arrival at Cordes sur Ciel. Feel free to inform us via email about your preferred payment method.
During this week, part of each day is devoted to wheel throwing, while the other part focuses on developing glazes.
The glaze course is led by Rob Muylaert, who works according to the renowned Ian Currie method. The wheel-throwing sessions are taught by Frank Theunissen.
The glaze course is suitable for both beginners and advanced participants. It provides a clear understanding of what a glaze is, what it is made of, and how it behaves at different temperatures.
New test tiles are made every day, allowing participants to quickly learn how glazes work and how to develop their own. This makes the course a unique opportunity for anyone interested in glaze research and experimentation.
We fire at different temperatures and use both gas and electric kilns, in oxidation as well as reduction atmospheres — exciting and educational!
During the wheel-throwing sessions, each participant works at their own level, with individual challenges offered as appropriate.
By the end of the week, we aim to fire a kiln containing at least one piece from each participant, glazed with a glaze developed during the course.
