The Ceramic Course is priced at €975. To secure your spot, a €200 advance payment is required upon registration. You have the option to settle the remaining balance up to two weeks before the course commencement, or you can also choose to make a cash payment upon your arrival at La Borne. those who do not know La Borne:

It is an old pottery village with a long history of ceramics and is located in central France, in the Berry region. For a few hundred years, it produced utensils that were fired in gigantic wood-fired kilns .After the First World War, this production slowly came to an end when the use of aluminium and glass and later plastic took over.

Nowadays, about sixty ceramists have their workshops in or near La Borne, where everything revolves around ceramics and kilns. It is the most inspiring environment to work with clay.
Some of my colleagues offer us the chance to come in through the backdoor willing to reveal more than the usual glimpse.

Atelier:
We have a spacious, well-equipped workshop at our disposal. As usual, a wheel is available for each participant.

The emphasis of the course is on throwing.

Of course we work with clay from La Borne, which we get from the local manufacturer. This will give you the opportunity to see how the clay is prepared.

At the end of the week, the pieces that are dry can be fired( if you are lucky, in a wood-fired kiln).
Accommodation:

There is the possibility to stay in a large holiday home but you can also bring your own caravan or mobile home which can be parked next to the house.

You can also arrange something else yourself.

The course day runs from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3pm to 5pm with at the end of the day a walk through the village and visits to the potteries.

The day starts with a french breakfast at 8.30 am. At 1.00 pm we provide a simple lunch and in the evening at 8 pm there is an evening meal.
